The Mortgage Finance team has been created specifically to support the lending industry. We specialise in providing comprehensive and innovative insurance solutions to new and existing lenders. We offer a holistic approach to institutions involved in loan finance, which is centred around balance sheet protection. Our service offering begins at loan design and ends at claims negotiation, covering all points in between.

The Mortgage Finance team has over 20 years' experience in structuring and placing mortgage indemnity schemes for banks, building societies and other lenders. Placements have been in respect of direct policies to the lenders and the reinsurance of lenders' own captive insurance companies.

We know that clients want much more from their broker than the passive, low value-added relationships of the past. They look now for service driven professionals who are in constant touch with them, understand their business, are always looking for ways to enhance their performance and who can deliver the right solutions.

Maximising the Value of our Service

To seek to maximise the value we deliver, we develop a deep knowledge of our clients and their issues. We understand their strategic and financial objectives, and how they intend to meet them. Through careful analysis we highlight the potential risks they face. We then advise on potential solutions in order that they can avoid, or mitigate, those risks. The solutions involve drawing upon a wide range of specialist knowledge, developing innovative products, accessing global underwriting markets or alternative capital sources and delivering a range of tailored services. As we develop these solutions, so the breadth and depth of what we can offer our clients grows.

The Mortgage Market Today

The UK mortgage market remains highly competitive. Lenders must therefore look at a variety of ways to achieve their business objectives. These will include buying as well as originating mortgage assets. The time such loans stay on their balance sheet will also vary as they take advantage of opportunities to sell portfolios or securitise assets.
